We are a popular one-form entry school in the heart of a supportive community, with well-behaved, inspired children and friendly, hardworking staff. We are fully inclusive and strive to find the best in every child, helping them to reach their full potential.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join us from September/October, initially on a fixed term for one year.

The role will involve providing learning and care support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). It will also include working with the teacher to plan and deliver activities and support pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management. Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.

You will join our committed team where you will have the opportunity to work alongside our SENCo and play a significant and highly valued role in our supportive and friendly environment.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and highly recommended.

Please email sao@thorntree.greenwich.sch.uk to arrange a visit and/or to request an application pack.

Thorntree values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
