Tes is supporting the appointment of a SEN Teacher to join a school based in Cambridgeshire.

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per annum dependant on experience/qualifications

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

About the school

The School is located in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Their new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for c30 students. 

About the role

To ensure a capable learning environment where pupils thrive, have their needs met and have access to positive interactions and to secure high quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning.

To organise personalised learning activities and experiences which are differentiated to meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil.

To be responsible for planning, tracking, evaluating, assessing and reporting the teaching and learning of pupils. 

Writing and updating Individual Outcomes

To supervise, develop and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities. 

To liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate.

You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, as comfortable talking to pupils and young people as you are with contributing to the school’s vision and direction.

You will have excellent written English skills too, along with a passion for working in collaboration with other members of their multidisciplinary team, sharing information in both formal and informal situations.
