Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to join our team in Al Ain. The SENCO will oversee the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive the appropriate support to succeed in their education. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide tailored support for each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the SEND provision across the school.
- Work with teachers to implement support strategies for students with SEND.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND practices.
- Collaborate with parents and external agencies to coordinate support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant SEND regulations and policies.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- SENCO qualification or willingness to complete the qualification.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external professionals.
- Fluency in English and Arabic
