Job overview
As a voluntary-aided school of over 2,000 students including a thriving Sixth Form of over 500 students, JFS is one of the top schools in the country for both attainment and progress, but more importantly, a place where we hope children grow into excellent adults prepared for everything ahead of them. Named one of the top-performing state schools of the year in the ‘Sunday Times’ rankings as well as achieving a Progress 8 score of +1.16, we are proud of our results, but recognise that they only form a small part of what schools should aim to achieve.
We have a large SEND Department serving over 400 students and over 60 EHCPs. We are looking to increase our capacity and would like to hear from exceptional people with an excellent knowledge of SEND. We are already well-led by our current Assistant Principal for SEND, who was previously the SEND Support Lead for Brent, and we are excited to increase the number in the team to drive further improvement across the school. To this end, we are seeking to appoint at a member of staff at the level of SENDCO with responsibilities to be decided during the interview process.
We believe that JFS is an excellent place to work and develop but you should not just take us at our word. If you have any questions at all then please do contact me directly using david.moody@jfs.brent.sch.uk and I will be happy to organise a visit for you or answer any questions that you may have. Nothing is more important to us than finding like-minded people and so please do get in touch.
