Role Overview:

As SENDco, you will work collaboratively with mentors, parents, and external specialists to develop and implement strategies that ensure every learner has access to an inclusive and engaging curriculum. Your expertise in special education, behavior analysis, and child development will be pivotal in empowering learners and creating a supportive learning environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and delivery of a differentiated curriculum for inclusion, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
• Implement evidence-based interventions for individual and small groups of pupils, monitoring progress and enabling every learner to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with mentors to identify barriers to learning and develop tailored strategies to address them.
• Support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with specialists to meet diverse learner needs.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents and external agencies to support the holistic development of learners.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field. A Master’s degree in Special Education is preferred.
• Experience: Over 3 years in a similar role, with expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and data-driven approaches to inclusion.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in assistive technology and IT tools for teaching and learning.
