University College Birmingham is seeking a highly experienced to Senior Director FE Student Experience lead to bring a renewed focus to the FE Student Experience and join its Further Education Senior Leadership team.
As part of the growing FE provision, the Senior Director of FE Student Experience will be responsible for working with departments across the Institution to ensure the success, safety, and wellbeing of all FE students. You will provide strategic leadership to enhance the student experience, ensuring it is innovative, relevant, and meets the evolving needs of learners. We are looking for someone with the skills, experience, and vision to take this provision to the next level.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of working with young people and students in a similar setting and will possess an excellent working understanding of how to establish a positive learning environment.
Working as part of the University, the postholder will develop excellent working relationships across the institution and beyond and will be expected to play a key role in strengthening our approach to cross-institution collaborative working. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are in place and are regularly reviewed for effectiveness and accuracy and that relationships with external partners and agencies are maintained, built upon and, where necessary, developed.
The postholder will have extensive experience of a providing advice in a similar setting and will therefore possess a thorough knowledge of meeting Ofsted requirements, ensuring safe learning environments and reporting progress effectively to an Executive Management Team.
