We are looking for 2 Site Assistant’s to assist in the maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safe working environment. This role will be based across 3 sites within our Trust – Shireland Collegiate Academy, Shireland Technology Primary and First Steps Nursery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Open and close the Academy as required
  • Set up and pack away tables/chairs for mock and public examinations
  • Switch alarms on/off as and when required
  • Assist with general site activities/tasks e.g. painting, repairs, maintenance
  • Set up equipment/resources as and when required e.g. for shows, events in our Sport Hall 
  • Following H+S procedures to ensure site safety e.g. inclement weather
  • Ensuring site cleanliness e.g. empty bins, cleaning spillages etc.
  • Undergo any further training where necessary e.g. fire safety, manual handling etc. 

 Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its entire staff to share this commitment. All post-holders will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children’s Barred List check for post carrying out a regulated activity.
