Sixth Form Deputy Housemistress

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Deputy Housemistress to join our highly committed Sixth Form boarding team.

The Sixth Form Housemistress will give assistance to the Housemistress in the professional leadership and management of the house, to ensure the welfare and safety of pupils and the smooth running of the boarding house. Specific responsibilities include taking responsibility for the house and deputising in the Housemistress’ absence, developing purposeful and professional relationships with pupils, maintaining discipline and fostering a secure and caring atmosphere within the house.

Candidates will be well-organised with excellent administrative skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in pastoral care. You will have the ability to understand teenagers and work constructively with them whilst maintaining clear standards of behaviour.

Hours: This is a full-time role working term-time plus three weeks during holiday periods.

Salary: Actual salary £22,600 (£27,700 FTE) (Pay award pending)

Additional Benefits: Meals and accommodation, pension membership, free onsite parking, use of the school gym and heated swimming pool (at designated times) and access to free fitness classes are all included.

Starting date: Easter 2025
