An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator / School Psychologist to join us at The British College of Andorra, in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains.

Excellent organisational and communication skills will be fundamental to success as will the ability, based on your experience and willingness to learn further, to make a real difference to the education of the children with whom you will work.

The position is to support children across the whole school, thus the successful candidate will be skilled at working with students from both Primary and Secondary phases. Specialist experience of working with a variety of social, emotional and learning needs will be important, as will be experience of providing continuing professional development in SEN and behaviour management for class teachers and other educators, developing a strong home-school partnership, building networks with outside specialists, and preparing IEPs.

Candidate Specifications:  

Relevant Bachelor's degree - essential

Higher degree or further professional training in SEN or a related area e.g. psychology- essential

SEN/ School Psychologist experience in both Primary and Secondary phases- essential

Professional proficiency in Spanish or Catalan, or a willingness to acquire it - essential

Qualified Teacher Status - desirable

Experience teaching English as an Additional Language students - desirable

The school, which currently has over 260 students, is situated just outside Andorra la Vella in a stunning mountainside location. We are 3 hours by road from Barcelona and Toulouse.
