Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting a new Student Services Advisor to join our Student Services team based at our iconic Broomfield Hall Campus, and supporting our other campuses as required. DCG supports 13,000 students studying full-time, part-time or via distance learning on a wide range of programmes including academic, vocational, apprenticeships and higher education. The student is at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of customer service throughout their journey at DCG. The Opportunity
The Student Services team is the first port of call for students throughout their entire journey with DCG, from the application/admissions process to when they require information, advice or guidance (IAG). Within this role you’ll be a pivotal member of the Student Services team providing this important support to students in person, via telephone or email. You’ll be part of a strong flexible customer focussed team who are dedicated to supporting our students through their journey with us.
About you
To excel within this role, you’ll have great interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised and have good attention to detail. You’ll also have knowledge of data Protection and GDPR compliance and have your NVQ level 3 in Advice and Guidance or be willing to work towards this with support from us.

About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
