About the role:

We are currently seeking Teacher in A-Level Photography to join The Bedford Sixth Form.

As a Teacher you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Undertaking an agreed teaching commitment to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding.
  • Engaging, and motivating students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Providing timely assessments and feedback to help students improve their learning.
  • Contributing to achieving retention and success targets for courses taught.

About you:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Degree in a relevant subject
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Current experience of teaching A-Level Textiles.
  • Current experience of teaching A-Level Photography.
  • Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 – 18 year olds
  • Experience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
