THE JOB
· To plan and deliver an inspiring curriculum that enables all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and achieve, ensuring all learning builds towards a defined end point.
· To plan and teach clear, high quality lessons to support pupils to make good or outstanding progress and to embed key concepts in their long term memory
· To set clear targets for pupils’ learning, building on prior attainment and considering each pupil as an individual
· To have regard, and plan to meet, the special educational needs of pupils

THE PERSON
• Qualified teacher preferred but consideration will be given to candidate with another recognised teaching qualification and proven teaching experience
• A passion for working with pupils with SEN and a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties
• The ability to deliver lessons that are informative, interesting and inspiring
• A dedication to positive behaviour management
• You will occasionally be required to work with pupils 1-2-1 on offsite intervention activities so you must be able to drive and have access to your own car

WORKING HOURS
Full-time | 8 hours per day Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 4.45pm, specific hours to be agreed upon offer.
SALARY
Salary range is £25,410- £38,520 per annum dependent on relevant qualifications and experience. Benefits include company pension scheme, online GP, retail discounts, employee assistance and wellbeing programmes, free eye tests and free onsite parking.

Our Silverstone school is an independent special school for pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our pupils often have histories of disrupted education including low attendance and/or exclusion from mainstream education. Many have special educational needs including social, emotional, mental health difficulties. Some have additional difficulties and specific learning difficulties including dyslexia, social communication difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism and Tourette’s syndrome.
We support our pupils to fulfil their potential by giving them unconditional support, providing them with good quality teaching and empowering them to effectively manage their own behaviour.
Our staff team work together to build and maintain positive professional relationships with all pupils, treating each pupil with tolerance and respect. Protective Behaviours and THRIVE principles underpin the curriculum to support the social and emotional development of our students delivered by our dedicated wellbeing team. We offer a wide range of subjects and experiences to ensure that students are motivated to succeed.
