We are a high achieving, ambitious Drama department who are passionate that all our students are given the opportunity to experience live theatre, either as an audience member or performer. Candidates with an interest in whole school musicals, technical theatre would be desirable.

Knowledge of the GCSE & GCE Eduqas specifications would be advantageous. The successful candidate will potentially be required to teach Post 16 Drama (EDUQAS) with support from the Subject Lead alongside KS3 and 4 Drama.

For the right applicant, there is also an exciting opportunity to take on an additional role as Deputy Head of Sixth Form. Our Sixth Form is renowned for its exceptional provision, and this role will involve supporting students at KS5 and deputising for the Head of Sixth Form when required. Candidates should have relevant experience in student support at this level and be ready to balance this leadership role alongside their teaching responsibilities.

Furthermore, for the appropriate applicant, there may also be the possibility of teaching of English or PSHE.

The department is experienced in the support and training of newly qualified teachers and recognises the importance of professional development. About The Warriner School

The Warriner School is a co-educational secondary academy for 11- to 18-year-olds, located in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. It is part of the Warriner Partnership, which links nine feeder primaries to the secondary school. Around 1,350 students are in attendance, with 150 in the sixth form.

The school was opened in 1971 for students aged 11-16. In September 2013, The Warriner School expanded, opening a sixth-form centre to provide A-level study for 16-18s. In August 2015, the school joined the Warriner Multi Academy Trust, which is made up of one secondary and five primary schools.

The Warriner School encourages the moral, intellectual and emotional development of its students. Teachers encourage a love of learning and emphasise the importance of students fulfilling their potential. The school ethos focuses on celebrating the achievements of pupils in all areas. The aim of the secondary school is to maintain its active role in the community in Bloxham.
