About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Teacher of English to join our dynamic English Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a thriving department and work in a modern and stimulating learning environment.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Support the English department and contribute to the wider ethos of the school.
  • Maintain and promote the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Prioritise the education of students, standards in work and conduct.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, while building strong professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Implement an English curriculum that reflects our HEART values and Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Support a specific cohort of students as a role model and mentor.
  • Lead a tutor group, acting as the main point of reference for students to raise concerns or issues.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate should:

  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to teach English across all ages and abilities.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Share and support the Catholic ethos of the school.
