Job overview

Sutton High School is seeking an engaging and passionate teacher with the ability to teach German to A Level and at least one other language at KS3 to our highly motivated girls.

This is a part-time role (working four days per week) or full-time if you can teach a further language to GCSE (French, Mandarin or Spanish). In your application, please let us know if you are seeking full or part time employment, along with stating the languages you can offer.

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach across the secondary age range in German and be willing to teach KS3 in French or Spanish (ideally offering this to GCSE level), creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration.

This role would suit an experienced teacher, or an ECT, looking to join a supportive department with superb ECT provision for professional development. At our school, girls want to learn, and you can focus on teaching your subject and enthusing them. Experienced teachers receive a generous planning allowance (20% PPA). For ECTs, additional planning time is given, and we have a comprehensive ECT mentoring programme.
