Kampala International School Uganda is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled Teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 (KS3), IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Promoting high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.
Help develop and implement a strategic vision for Mathematics in the school, in line with the school’s overall educational philosophy.
Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding Mathematics lessons across KS3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma levels.
Help oversee the development and maintenance of the Mathematics curriculum and resources.
Liaise with other departments to promote interdisciplinary learning.
Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders about the progress, achievements, and well-being of students.
Contribute to the wider school community.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Extensive experience teaching Mathematics at KS3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma levels.
Deep understanding of the English National Curriculum and the IB Diploma Programme.
Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students and staff.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience in an international school setting.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong commitment to continuous professional development for self and others.
Ability to integrate technology effectively in teaching and learning.

The School
Founded in 1993, Kampala International School, Uganda began as a small primary school with a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. KISU has evolved considerably over the years and has undertaken an ambitious programme of expansion and development. It now boasts a purpose built school with excellent sporting facilities. Despite this phenomenal growth, the School has maintained its original aims and teaching philosophy.

The Enriched Curriculum
KISU has a programme of studies based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. French is taught to all children from Year One upwards. A programme of personal, social and health education(PSHE) is implemented throughout the school. The curriculum has been adapted to reflect the international diversity of our school community and its location in Uganda.
