Testbourne is a high performing school, with students achieving excellent results. In August 2024, 76% achieved a ‘standard’ pass of grade 4 and above in English and Maths combined. An excellent total of 52 grade 9s were achieved by our year 11s across their subjects. Progress was also good for all students including those with SEND.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of Physical Education to join a committed and successful department. The right candidate will help provide a supportive, stimulating environment and share our high expectations of achievement for all our children in the PE department.

You should be willing to teach maths or science at KS3 in additional to PE.

The successful candidate should be willing to teach Football, Rugby and Cricket amongst other activities, as well as add and contribute to the extra-curricular programme. Experience or knowledge of AQA GCSE PE specification is preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach core sports across the age ranges. The successful candidate will be willing to drive a minibus, and training can be provided for this.

The successful candidate will:
