Queen’s College has a strong reputation for sport. Over a number of years, Queen's pupils have enjoyed regional and national success in a range of sports and disciplines. Pupils represent the school with pride and passion and our facilities and extensive grounds allow a wide variety of sports to be played.

All pupils from Nursery to Sixth form participate in the School’s sports programme throughout the week. Team sports and regular fixtures are introduced in Year 3 with regular Saturday fixtures for Years 7 - 13.

Our sports staff are dedicated and hard-working and we are very proud of our sporting tradition. ‘Sport for Life’ is essential and through an athlete-centred programme, we seek to give every pupil a positive experience of physical activity with the understanding of the importance it plays in a balanced and healthy lifestyle, regardless of age or ability.

We are looking to recruit an inspiring and engaging PE Teacher for a maternity cover position. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching both practical and academic PE and Games at all levels, including GCSE PE and BTEC and/or A-level. They will have expertise in, or the ability to coach at least two of the school’s major sports (hockey, netball, athletics, tennis, swimming and cricket), with netball and hockey particularly favoured.

Energy, enthusiasm and passion are a given. This is a great opportunity for a talented candidate to make a real difference to the sporting development of children and young people at Queen’s College.
