Role: Teacher of Textiles (maternity cover for up to 1 year)
Full time/Part time: Part Time (0.8 FTE)
Salary Grade: Inner London Teachers’ Pay Scale
Reporting to: Head of Cluster
Commencing: January 2025
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Textiles to work in the Visual Arts and Design and Technology Curriculum Area. This is a Maternity Cover post, initially for two terms.
The applicant would be required to teach some KS3 Design Technology, DT Textiles GCSE (DT Specification) and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (both Art and Design Specification).
The successful candidate will:
· have a good relevant first degree and be QTS qualified by the start date
· have the subject knowledge and experience to teach Design Technology at KS3, DT Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification)
· be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design Technology and Art
· be committed to working successfully as a member of a team
· have very strong organizational and interpersonal skills
