Teaching Assistant (Level 1)

As a TA at Arc Oakbridge School you will put pupils at the centre of your work, supporting them to thrive in the school environment so that they develop the skills needed for life. You will be assigned to a particular class of up to six pupils and will support them in all subjects. You will work with pupils to improve opportunities for them to develop their talents and interests and help them to grow in confidence and independence. You will be a team player and work closely with the wider, multi-disciplinary staff team to ensure pupils achieve the best possible outcomes.

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for applicants who have experience of working with children with Autism and associated needs and have a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop but more importantly, people who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. About us:

Arc Oakbridge School is an independent special school catering for pupils whose primary diagnosis is autism and who have often struggled in mainstream settings. We offer a low-arousal environment with small group sizes and put our pupils at the centre of everything that we do.
