Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 1/2 – Reading Champion
Hours of work: 26 hours 40 minutes per week, working 39 weeks per year. These hours will include a daily lunch duty.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.00pm with a 40 minute lunch and a 20 minute break.
Salary: T.A. Level 1/2 - point 5-6, £24,790 to £25,183 (pro rata to £15,420 to £15,664 per annum for hours worked).
We are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis, until June 2025 in the first instance, to support the work of our excellent Special Educational Needs Department. This role will have a focus upon improving the reading ability of struggling readers including working 1 to 1 and with small groups implementing bespoke plans with students.
Applicants should possess a range of skills to enable them to work with young people with special needs including those with complex behaviour issues.
