Role: Transport Coordinator

Hours: Two roles available. 30 hours a week working either 07:00 to 13:00 or 12:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.


Overview

We are seeking two part-time Transport Coordinators to help maintain the high levels of service for our pupils and staff that utilise our extensive coach network. 


Responsibilities

  • Service Management: Oversee live service-related issues while the coach fleet is in motion, including pre and post-school operations. Coordinate boarding during traffic diversions and maintain live communication with parents and passengers in the event of delays.
  • Ticketing: Issue, amend, and cancel tickets for the home-to-school coach service in accordance with booking policies for pupils and staff.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update data within the home-to-school coach service management system.
  • Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing service queries or complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Safety Supervision: Supervise and ensure the safety of students during the ingress and egress of coaches, providing assistance to both students and drivers.
  • Support to Transport Manager: Assist the Transport Manager with driver training sessions, both online and in person.


Knowledge and experience

•Experience within a passenger transport environment, ideally in a school environment, though not essential.

•Experience of route planning or dynamic resource allocation in a live environment is desirable.

•Previous experience of providing support to internal and external customers essential.
