Salary/rate: 

£30,000-£33,000 (37.5 hours a week, 38 weeks a year) plus some prearranged days (up to 4 weeks) 

Requirements: 

QTLS or equivalent  

English/Maths GCSE C or above (or equivalent) 

Business insurance/access to a car (expenses will be paid) 

About us: 

WiEducate offers alternate education for 16-24 years who have been unable to access other education provision in the area. WiEducate works 1:1 and in small groups to support our young people to achieve their aspirations and successfully transition into adulthood. 

About the role: 

As a Tutor you will be responsible for planning and delivering sessions to small groups and 1:1’s. Sessions aim to provide life skills, embed maths and English and support learners to achieve their educational goals. You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring progress, implementing support strategies and providing a safe and secure learning environment.  

Responsibilities: 

• Develop a co-curriculum with learners 
• Plan and deliver sessions  
• Monitor progress 
• Work with our youth mentors and Wellbeing Practitioner to implement support strategies  
• Provide a safe learning environment 
• Manage the learning environment safely 
• Support EHCP annual reviews 
• Make referrals to other agencies (including safeguarding)   

Candidate requirements: 

• An understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental health needs of young people  
• Experience of supporting young people in education, care or other settings  
• Ambition to work with and support young people to progress and achieve  
• Driver license and access to a car with business insurance  
• Teaching qualification (QTLS or equivalent) 
• Maths and English (GCSE C or above or equivalent)
