We are looking an inspirational teacher to join our expanding, experienced and skilled team starting in the Spring Term of 2024. Watergate is an Outstanding primary special school for children with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties, many of whom also have autism. We are at an exciting stage of our development, with expansion on the horizon and a holistic, child-centred, curriculum in place.

At Watergate we believe in creating an aspirational, exciting, creative and fun learning community so our children are happy, motivated and develop a love for learning. 

Leaders, including governors, have ensured that there is an ambitious and well-designed curriculum. Planned sequences of lessons help pupils to work on personalised goals. Teachers use interesting and imaginative resources to bring lessons to life. Staff know pupils very well and have extensive subject knowledge in the areas they teach. Multi-disciplinary working and close family liaison are central to our ‘team around the child’ approach.   We are looking for an exceptional classroom practitioner who is able to secure exceptional outcomes for pupils.  You will be expected to take a role in leading an area of the curriculum and to be an active part of the Watergate school community.
