Job overview

Queen’s is seeking to appoint a personable, efficient and conscientious Welfare Officer. The Welfare Officer will take responsibility for the care, safety and welfare of Queen’s College Preparatory School pupils by providing First Aid when necessary and managing pupil health care plans. Additionally, they will assist with the smooth running of the school office and general administration of the school.

The successful candidate will need to be well organised, methodical and demonstrate exemplary attention to detail. A warm and polite approach is equally important, as the role will involve frequent interaction with pupils, parents and teachers. The Welfare Officer will be the lead First Aider and key duties will include maintaining pupil medical records, controlling and monitoring prescribed medications, managing allergy information, co-ordinating vaccination programmes and general health checks, deputising for the School Nurse and covering for the School Office Manager when required.
