Pinc Woodlands College is seeking to appoint a teacher of Wildlife and Countryside / Conservation or Environmental Science TERM TIME ONLY. You will work 38 weeks but are salaried for 39 to take into account planning etc.

Actual Salary:

Your hours of work are 9am to 3pm, 5 days per week, a total of 30 hours. Actual teaching time is 10am-2pm.

You will be based at our Wolseley campus in South Staffordshire, Rugeley.

The Role

As Wildlife and countryside / Conservation or Environmental Science Teacher you will be responsible for the engagement and progress of up to 20 students accessing level 2 and 3 work based diplomas in Environmental Conservation at our Specialist Countryside and Woodland college.

Teaching is in small groups of around 10 students.

You will be responsible for teaching and guiding your students through their qualifications, level 2 and 3 work-based diplomas, while supporting their SEND and wellbeing needs.

You will be joining a small, newly forming, supportive Team.

You will teach and lead on connecting locally for a rich and diverse learning experience. Experience of teaching subjects around Environmental conservation or science, coupled with a solid background in SEND is essential for this stand out opportunity.

Essential Qualifications

·      QTS/Further Education teaching qualification is essential.

·      Environmental or associated science, Teaching Qualification

·      Teaching level 2 or above, post 16 experience desirable

·      Occupationally competent, either qualified to Level 3 or above in Environmental Conservation or have significant and current experience of working in the industry at this level desirable

·      Assessors A1or D32/33 desirable but not essential as training can be given.



You will be part of a team who educate, safeguard and support neurodiverse students, (16 – 25-year-olds).

This will require sustaining of strong partnerships with professional Local Authority teams and the environmental sector.
