The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and dedicated Work Placement Co-ordinator to join our Work Placement team on a part-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating placements and communicating and liaising with College staff, students and external stakeholders. You will be able to use your initiative to gain the best opportunities for our students and enable them to enter the workplace successfully following their time with us. Good written and verbal communication and time management is essential to this role.
You will work closely with the Sales, Partnership Engagement Team and Work Experience Team to ensure central collation of data and that all placement activities are carried out in line with College guidelines. The role requires good attention to detail, strong administration skills, and the ability to use a variety of IT packages.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson & Colne College but may be required to travel across sites
What You Will Be Doing:
- Co-ordinate work placement opportunities for learners across the College in conjunction with learners and tutors
- Utilise a variety of systems to co-ordinate work placements across the wider team
- Communicate with tutors and other curriculum staff about work placement processes, and assist them with any queries they may have in respect of processes and procedures
- Deal with enquiries from employers, taking messages and follow-up action, as appropriate
- Deal with confidential correspondence in a professional and discreet manner
What We Are Looking For:
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
- GCE A Level or equivalent (desirable)
- Successful experience of working with people of all ages, skills and abilities on a 1:1 basis and in a group setting
- Experience of working within a dynamic role, demonstrating excellent attention to detail
- Experience of processing information and utilising systems to monitor and track data
