this lesson contains a variety of activities to reinforce what pupils have learnt this topic. I also wanted to create it to introduce my students to different revision techniques as they are struggling to revise. everything you need is here, except for some dice and the set up of potassium bromide solution electrolysis and a bit of laminating! it contains the following activities; flash cards, stepping stones, ludo and chase with differentiated questions, a magic squares starter activity and all the instructions necessary for both you and the pupils. any feedback would be appreciated.

This is following the new AQA spec (6.1) but I have broken it down, so this includes electrolysis of molten ionic compounds but not solutions. It includes a PowerPoint, with mini-plenaries, and animations of several examples to help explain the process, along with an accompanying student handout, practice exam questions and a worksheet to accompany the animation.

follows the Kerboodle SOW. can be used for Biology single science (B5.7) also. power point contains two starters, video links(semmelweiss, pasteur & lister) and an Ignaz Semmelweis revision mat for the pupils to complete. comprehension can be used as an alternative or as a possible homework. answers to all the summary questions are embedded in the power point.

I supported this lesson with the 'amoeba sisters' video and supporting worksheet, free to download from their website.
