Here is the PowerPoint to use alonside with the worksheet for sprinters.
There are many exercises with their answers. You will also find the answers for the worksheet.
I hope it helps!
These 5 tracts of differentiated levels are related to the French elections (PCF, PS, MODEM, UMP, FN).
1. I usually pair my students, and give them a tract to work on with a dictionary.
2. Then they have to identify the party, the ideas and themes. They also have to answer a question: what would be the life of an immigrant if this party was in power?
3. They have to present their tract to the other groups, aswer the question and give their opinion.
The whole session leads to a discussion on politics and immigration in France.
Pupils are shared into teams and must guess as quickly as possible how many animals have just appeared on the screen in German.
Good to revise the numbers from 1-19 and the animals in German.
Part of the differentiated cards are missing here. Sorry for that, I wrote them on a paper...
There is also another quick challenging activity (to complete in groups) at the end of the PowerPoint.
This is a quite common activity, but it is still efficient and fun (even better with a timer). I would check first if all bags are underneath the tables and make sure no pupils would run.
- You display one copy (or several depending on the size of your class) in each corner of the room.
- You spit pupils into teams. One person of each team has to go to read one copy, come back to his team, which write down what he read. The first team to finish with the best text wins! It was a real success!
This is a PowerPower in French, which I created for a top set to help students to become aware of their learning style (VAK).
Then, students are asked to talk about how they organise their revision and homework time at home. The aim is to compare themselves with others and to discover how they can improve their current practice.
To finish, I included a peer-assessment correction of an MYP test (mine was about a brochure they had to produce at home, and I corrected).
Please note that I do not own any of the photos. Thank you.
Simple PowerPoint to introduce the material children need at school (book, notebook...etc) in French.
Instead of the last activity, you can decide to adapt 'le jeu du pendu&'... Pupils love it!
