Double start - what objects have in common, what the mystery device from last lesson is (astrolabe)
Mind Map task - can be done in numerous ways with discovery cards (not necessarily how presenation says)
e.g. each pupil has one card, movement round class to acquire all info cards after
more structure with each table having same information, and then splitting table into informers that stay at the table, and researchers who move to different table
this role is flipped when they return to their table and have to relay what they have learned back to their table

Why you should buy: For the four siege weapons above there is a corresponding slide that contains animated footage (from Medieval Total War 2) showing each siege weapon in action (when used it encouraged more attention, engagement, and pupils all had a great idea of how these weapons could be used)
