<p>The Murder of David Rizzio is an exciting and engaging part of the Mary Queen of Scots topic that highlights themes of jealousy, power and love.</p> <p>Pupils are given the casualties information and then should be given a character card with details of their relations to other characters and recall of events leading to the murder of Rizzio. There are two investigator cards with a variety of questions to be asked towards characters.</p> <p>Characters cards include: Mary Queen of Scots, The Ghost of Rizzio, Darnley, Jean Stuart, Elizabeth I, Investigator 1, Investigator 2.</p> <p>Pupils are prompted to think about motives for multiple characters before finding out about Darnley’s supposed involvement.</p>
