Genres and Styles SOW Full scheme of work, ready for a drama teacher or non-specialist to teach. There are five workshops using different genres as pop up lessons. KS3 Drama The Woman In Black SOW A wonderful SOW taking students through the story of this play. This would go brilliantly in a half term where a trip is planned, but doesn’t need to be the case. This can be taught by a drama specialist or non-specialist. Skills included are: Plot Back story Non-verbal communication Characterisation and an assessment lesson is included too. KS3 The Tempest SOW An active, physical SOW that will have your students really embodying Shakespeare’s The Tempest. This is a 6 lesson SOW and can be taught by specialists or non-specialists. Skills inlclude: Exploring the storm Physical Theatre Soundscapes Freeze frame montage Plot and structure Status Mask work +Assessment Please not that you will need a copy of The tempest for the assessment lesson and there is also an extra lesson on mask work but this can be removed if you don’t have access to plain white masks. Year 7 Drama: The Haunted Lift SOW This is a 6 lesson SOW. KS3 Silent Movies SOW This scheme is super fun, it allows students to play, and find play again. This is a fun-filled scheme that will get students to fall in love with Drama. This scheme can be taught by a drama teacher or a non-specialist. Skills include: Silent movie features Exaggeration Stage combat Musical Stimulus Morality assessment lesson that can be edited to fit your assessment structure. Scripted Drama SOW- over 70 slides This is a full SOW taking students through the script The Stones. Skills include: Script reading Characterisation Status Physical Theatre Multi-role Split-Role and more! This can be taught by a specialist and non specialist teacher. A KS3 scheme of work that explores physical theatre. In this scheme students are invited to explore creativity, improvisation, non-literal and building blocks to create visually exciting pieces of theatre. In this pack i have included six lessons and an extra lesson for free in case some of the work is inaccessible to your students. This is a great scheme to do with Year 7 as they come into a drama class for the first time or even with a school where drama hasn’t been the best or has never existed.
