The Latin Conjugations: Present Tense

(0)
For those who prefer to teach verb endings early on in the Latin course, this PowerPoint provides present tense verb endings for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd conjugation. It explains what a verb is, what a subject and object are, what the verb endings tell us, and provides some practice exercises. While Cambridge Latin Course introduces Latin verb endings gradually and contextually, some like myself prefer to introduce pupils to a logical and clear explanation of conjugations and how verbs work. There is a brief introduction to the tenses at the end, which can be taught in a separate lesson if need be. However, early on, pupils sometimes ask what tense the verb they are translating is in.
