<p>Hello dear reader, in this handout we shall be exploring how a writer’s choice of language can profoundly affect the tone, mood, and overall impact of a text. We’ll use the two versions of the story “The Ant and the Grasshopper” as our reference points to see how different language choices can lead to very different reader experiences. There’s a language analysis task at the end of the handout. Both teachers and students should find this resource very useful.</p>
<p>This lesson pack contains a 5 day lesson plan PPT for Year 1 Literacy, intended for Spring Term week one but could be adapted as needed.
