<p>I have put this end of unit mini assessment together to assess children’s understanding of rivers. It has been created for Year 5 but could be used for other year groups. The mark scheme is included.</p>

<p>A matching activity based on vocabulary from The Raven poem. Children to match the words to their definitions by either drawing a line or cutting and sticking.<br />
There’s two separate activities that can be used individually or as a whole. A great vocabulary activity even if you aren’t studying the poem. Children should read the word in the context of the poem to gain a better understanding and may use dictionaries to help them. suitable for Upper KS2 and KS3.</p>
<p>A funny report about the 3 little pigs which includes the different features and the writing style. I have written this for Year 4 but suitable for KS2.</p>
<p>The one with the red section is to be used to help the children edit and improve their writing. Ask them how it could be made better.</p>

<p>I created questions for a time test and made an answer sheet for the children to answer the questions. You can tailor your questions to fit this answer template or use the ones attached.</p>
<p>The children must work out the cost of each item using their knowledge of place value and how it relates to money.<br />
There is a 2 star and a 3 star sheet for differentiation.</p>
<p>These cards can be used to award prizes to pupils. Teachers can award them, they can be used as a lucky dip or children can choose from them. A fun way to reward children!</p>
<p>I created this resource maths resource when teaching a Year 6 class. Our topic was WW2 however this can be used just for translations.</p>
<p>The children must move the army ship around the quadrants to get to different countries.</p>
<p>I would recommend this for years 5-8.</p>
