Intro to Holland Codes for ESOL L1+ learners

(0)
<p>This is a lesson designed for ESOL Level 1 + learners broadly based on the theme of employability. IT includes an introductory video, discussion and online test to find out a person’s code. There is a focus on adjectives and describing personality types but the test itself is image based and not too onerous on intermediate level ESOL students. In the Holland Code system developed by academic psychologist Dr John L. Holland, there are six broad occupational themes that match our interests and preferences: Realistic/Building, Investigative/Thinking, Artistic/Creating, Social/Helping, Enterprising/Persuading, and Conventional/Organizing. Using the Holland Codes can help us find the happiness and success that comes from working in a career that best matches our personality category.</p>
