Semana Santa - worksheet KS3

An A5 size worksheet for pupils and accompanying teacher’s notes page which works with this interesting video about Semana Santa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtX8cKvu8XU&t=1112s
It has been a very popular lesson for my year 7s, 8s, and 9s. I stop the video at the points indicated on the teacher’s notes page, to check their answers and keep them engaged in the video for longer.
I added a section at the bottom for them to write their opinion about Semana Santa, either in English or Spanish.

Print the worksheet 2 pages per sheet and cut in half to make it A5 size

WARNING - there is a point in the video when an Australian lady is speaking and she says the ‘f’ word (very unhelpful!!), but you can check the time and skip this part (it’s a fraction of a second).

Hope it’s helpful!

An alternative to rock-climbing translation activity, this uses:
basketballs - shooting into a hoop,
tennis balls - hitting over a net,
and bicycle wheels - heading towards a road.
The usual principle of going upwards using chunks to create sentences applies.

There are 4: mi vida mi movil, la musica, programas and ayer/normalmente.

It is in powerpoint and is editable so you can change the text if you like. I have also created a page for each activity with 2 copies on it, for easy printing and an answers page where answers are revealed in order by clicking.
