A sweet little power point series of lessons I put together which incorporated old style black and white films.
The power point serves as a series of lessons and the intention is that students understand the genre in film and watch the film so far before stopping and finishing it as a story, imagining how they think it will end.
I used it as a start of year activity that was fun but allowed me to assess their writing levels as well. We did this over a two week period start to finish.

The film is linked so you can adapt it as you wish watching further than we did or less.

The sow is also available

A reading and writing power point that allows students to read a short extract and be inspired to design a theme park of their own.
They read an extract, answer questions based on it, do some punctuation and grammar work and then go on to design a theme park of their own.
They draw and label a theme park but also write a presentation that will be read out to other group members or the class.
