KS3 Graphics Project - Trainer Design

(0)
Year 7 KS3 graphic design project, students will embark on an exciting journey to design their own trainers, drawing inspiration from cultural patterns and the distinctive style of the graphic designer Mr. Doodle. The project includes a booklet and a PowerPoint presentation, providing a structured and engaging learning experience. The project will begin with an exploration of various cultural patterns from around the world, encouraging students to appreciate and understand the rich visual languages that different cultures offer. They will analyse how these patterns reflect cultural identities and values, and how they can be reinterpreted in modern design. Students will then study Mr. Doodle’s unique approach to graphic design, characterised by his intricate, playful doodles and continuous line work. Combining these influences, students will create original trainer designs that fuse traditional cultural motifs with contemporary doodle art. This project aims to develop their skills in pattern design, color theory, and creative expression while fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity and innovative design practices.
