A Linha Curva & Rooster Resource Pack

(0)

We’ve spent over a year collaborating with many brilliant and daring individuals to create new resource packs on A Linha Curva and Rooster. As well as helping teachers to prepare students for all the elements required to study these works, these packs aim to provide a deeper exploration of the social, cultural and historical contexts of the works, with talking points designed to support the development of pupils’ critical thinking by relating some of the complex topics and themes of the pieces to their lived experience. We’re very grateful for all the people who offered their expertise on this journey, including diversity consultants Elma Glasgow and Rachel Gnagniko, former dancers Miguel Altunaga and Patricia Okenwa, Assistant Professor Rosamaria Kostic Cisneros, Dr Katia Chornik, Dr Vinicius Mariano de Carvalho, Dr Frederick Moehn, Professor Sunny Singh, Dr Ben Walters, teacher Hilary Seaton and Amy Williams from One Dance UK.

You can also check out our digital platform Rambert Classroom to support your teaching practice further.

WIth Rambert Classroom:

Curate your students’ learning experience with specially made videos, written resources and audio guides.

Download ready-made detailed resource packs on A Linha Curva and Rooster

Access A Linha Curva scheme of work featuring 11 planned lessons

Explore an exclusive range of interviews with Rambert dancers, including current company dancer Simone Damberg Würtz sharing her first-hand experience of performing in A Linha Curva and Rooster

Remain inspired, develop your practice and stay in touch with fellow teachers with three CPD sessions across the year in person at Rambert HQ or online (with recordings available for those who can’t attend).

Go to rambert.org.uk/classroom for more information and to sign up.
If you have any questions, you can get in touch with the team at learning@rambert.org.uk
