It explains pyroclastic flow, volcanic bombs and the stages of an eruption. There is quite a lot in this lesson, so may lend itself to being split into 2.

Originally taught to year 5, 4th lesson in a series of 6 on volcanoes. Presentation on the different types of movement, which starts with a recap for knowledge retention on the structure of the earth and an catchy song from youtube. Ends with a fun practical using oreos (or the like) which I found online, and the children really enjoyed. Accompanying handout is 2 to an A4 page to save paper/printing.
