These 6 exercise sheets cover a range of AO6 skills: vocabulary, sentence structures and parts, punctuation, spelling and grammar. They can be used as starters, homework or revision tasks. They are short and can be easily marked by teachers or by students with some guidance.

This resource can be used to consolidate knowledge and understanding of war poetry images, key ideas and contexts. This is an interactive activity and all you need are two dice for pairs of students. Students roll the dice to find coordinates and squares to link together. They can explain these links verbally to partners, the class, or as a written task. This resource can be used with either KS3 or KS4, depending on the poems covered. Students enjoy the randomness of it and the element of fun.

This is a one-off resource to help with understanding Hamlet and writing to meet purpose and audience. Students recall knowledge of Hamlet, review features of Agony Aunt letters, and produce a letter to Hamlet giving him advice on what he should do after finding out Claudius murdered his father to usurp the crown.
