It has information about Matisse on one side (which students use to answer the Context questions), and on the other, questions about the Matisse piece Goldfish, 1912 used from the Tate gallery resource Ways of looking under the headings of; Context, Subject, Object and Personal. Personal is the student’s opinion about the work, Subject is the meaning of the work and Object is describing the work using the formal elements. Students then can use their analysis to inspire them in their future work and respond to the artist.

One side can be used as an adaptive success criteria (using bronze silver and gold) with examples for each level and the other side has examples of eyes as photographs and drawings to inspire students. This can be used as an A3 sized resource that is left on the table during the lesson for students to refer to. It could be laminated and printed double sided.
