A very effective starter, to base a lesson or series of lessons on design (particularly web design).
The first website will both amuse and irritate students and the second should show the power of sophisticated design. Points to think about as well as how I have used this resource are in the instructions.

These simple tutorials have been put together to use in a primary school with Years 4 to 6 to assist in giving the study basic skills to use Scratch to have characters moving and talking to each other.
The idea behind this is to cover ICT curriculum in use of Scratch to control objects and present an animated cartoon. Also, there is coverage of Literacy through the narrative that the students have the sprites say when they speak to each other.
These resources could also be used at KS3.

A brilliant worksheet for a starter, to base a lesson or series of lessons around and as self assessment.
This activity allows students to assess where they are at with skills in Adobe Flash and then can be referred back to by both teachers and students. Highlighting progression, those are struggling and allowing for flexibility of lesson planning. Definitely one for an observed or Inspection lesson, this has been providedin doc format allow for your own editing.
