A simple one-page summary of how to form the imperfect tense, when it is used and key example verbs. <p> EDIT: Just noticed an error in example verb 'manger&'. Ils/elles mangEaient Will change and reupload later this week. If you download before, please remember to change.

<p>I use this over 2-3 lessons at the end of the year with KS3. The idea is that they analyse a script in French, rehearse and perform it in groups. It incorporates dictionary skills and drama. I use it as an excuse to go outside to perform at the end of the year. Used with four different groups of various abilities- all have been engaged. There are easier and more difficult scripts to choose from.</p>

A simple reading exercise where pupils must draw the objects in the correct place. However, you might want to extend the text - my year 7s finished it a lot more quickly than I thought.

Simple speaking practice hand out. Pupils ask each other the questions and answers as prompted on their sheet, then swap sheets. Each pupil in the pair has one half of the sheet. If you print both pages duplex (open to left) then the full sentences for less able will be printed on the back.

Just a short true/false reading exercise to introduce 'On peut'

PowerPoint to introduce 'dans, sous, sur' with some simple gap fill for class to practice. Years 7s this morning enjoyed it :-)

<p>This Powerpoint was as part of the ma fmaille module with year 7. It includes a Guess who reading starter to practice known vocabulary, introduces enfant/fille/fils unique and demi-frère/soeur. It’s not a full lesson presentation, but can be extended.</p>

Reading activity where pupils have to study the Lannister family tree and decide which statements are true and which are false. (Answers in green on third slide). Can then get students to adapt the incorrect phrases to make them correct. Could be differentiated with simpler/more complicated statements.

To be used with my high ability year 8s tomorrow - will update how it went.<br /> <br /> Pupils compete in teams to put Wizzard's 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday' into French with a few tricks and treats along the way.<br /> <br /> I didn't update last year - it went well. They were far keener on the sabotages of other teams than taking any boosts!
