This webquest is designed for use outside the classroom, but could also be used as an additional resource for cover. It incorporates ICT use through use of online dictionaries, making notes in documents and visiting a variety of websites. The activity teaches the basics of shopping and numbers but also teaches some cultural aspects, e.g. traditional recipe, origin of a specific dish, shopping habits etc.

A pair-work activity in which partner A has to form a questions from key words given. Partner B has to respond. Partners complete their grids with relevant information. Extension: talking abou their partner or writing a letter (either about their partner or writing from partner's perspective, i.e. 1st pers.sing.)

A role play activity with reference to sizes, colours and patterns in German

The worksheets summarises languages needed to express likes and dislikes using 'mir gefällt', 'gern' and 'mögen'. This is linked to expressing degrees of liking and disliking. The activity gets pupils to contrast which hobbies they like and which they don't like.

A webquest centred around information collection on the author Ingril Noll. It involves some traditional reading comprehension, but also challenging pupils' creativity through conducting interviews (oral) and writing brochures. ICT elements include using Audacity to create mp3 files, uploading vocabulary onto online flashcards and creating a word documents.
