Spellings Snakes and Ladders is a fun way for your class to practise spellings of your choosing. How I play with my class: I give each pair a list of our current spellings or the statutory spellings list. The children take it in turns to roll the dice and move their counter on the board. If they land on a ‘SPELL’ space, their partner chooses a word for them to spell, either aloud or on a whiteboard. If the child spells it correctly, they can remain in their space. If incorrect they must move back 2 spaces. I hope your class enjoy it as much as mine do!
