♠♠♠ FACTS ABOUT ANTS ♠♠♠
►LEARNING OUTCOMES◄
Students will learn plenty of new vocabulary words through engaging and challenging activities. They will work individually, in pairs or in small groups to include variety in lesson dynamics.
While studying this mini unit, they will get their juices flowing while working in pairs or small groups to form sentences by using the wordle. This activity will lead them to the first part of the article about ants. Before getting to read, they will have to unscramble some words and define them. To get familiar with the second part of the article they will engage in a form filling activity first. Before enjoying the video '5 amazing facts about ants' they will work together to develop their listening abilities. The pre-listening activity sees them working to just put in order the words when they hear them. The second activity is more challenging and sees them working individually to fill the blanks while listening. They will, then, engage in descriptive piece of writing to discuss about the importance of teamwork. The unit will be concluded with a revision crossword which will bring them back to the very first activity to review the vocabulary words learned in it.
