An in-depth exploration of London by William Blake*. Including engaging teaching of content, writer's methods and exploration of the influence of the poet's context (romanticism) including it's relevance in modern society. This lesson provides group opportunities guiding pupils development of AO1, AO2 and AO3 literature, and specifically, poetry skills. Including animated, complete annotation of the poem, poem response activities (differentiated), engaging discussion point, videos and images with suggested further development opportunities for indepedent engagement with the poem and the issues and ideas dealt with.
NOW INCLUDING... ADDITIONAL WRITING EXTENSION to embed pupils understanding of the poems content whilst providing opportunities to develop their GCSE WRITING skills as well as developing vocabulary and literacy skills which will help pupils express their interpretations when writing about literature analytically.
