'Save the World!' A script by Simon Humphreys

An anarchic romp through history, with random acts of kindness thrown in, ‘Save the World!’ is a script suitable for students from 10 - 16, but slightly younger Higher Ability students could enjoy and access it. As an end of year performance, whole school piece of work with different classes working on each scene, or extended assembly, ‘Save the World!’ combines satire and physical comedy, with witty script and inspiring storyline, when 2 children are challenged by the Grim Reaper to travel through the mists of time and bring back examples of human kindness or the world will end at midnight …
Students are introduced to history and politics in a humorous and anarchic way and will have the opportunity to develop comic timing, characterisation, stage presence, and a social conscience! What’s not to love?!
